Wow, Mac, that is heartbreaking. I am glad she is not in the condition she led you to believe, but I am really sad she felt the need to pretend such things. Do you know from her mom, did she REALLY have a recurrence of her brain tumor and was she really undergoing repeat chemotherapy?
...or did she even have the first tumor?

Mac, make sure you check the status of your 'valuables'. Hopefully they are all still in your possession.

Good luck!
Yeah, I do believe the brain cancer returned. She was literally heartbroken and teary-eyed when she told me. I think she was just milking the recovery period.

As far as valuables, I've given her a credit card (up to $15k or more) many times over the past year to get groceries and stuff for us, so I had no reason to not trust her.

The sad thing is, I didn't expect her to show up here immediately after treatments ended anyway. I've known a few folks that had chemo, and it's a draining experience at best, both physically and psychologically.

I'm just literally blown away by her actions. :anyone:

Thanks guys and gurls. :)

Well... I won't go into the gory details, but we talked, she tried to lie her way out of everything, and I let her know I didn't believe her.

Anywho... she's supposed to return to help with Sweetie on the 19th.

We won't be friends again (ha! apparently we never were) but I can still be nice to her.

It took around 6 months to find two people that were dependable about showing up, and these two have worked great with each other's schedules (both have been helping us about a year). I really don't want to go through that miserable trial and error period again, so we're going to give her another shot.

Keep praying for us, and especially pray for Sweetie.

I understand the need you have, and the tough spot you are in - but you've learned now, she isn't trustworthy, so just keep your guard up and an eye on your belongings. We'll keep you in our prayers, Mac, and your wife, as well.
