I watched the videos and was impressed with the amount of interior room. Electric has instant torque. My guess when hauling things the battery life will decrease drastically. If Tesla isn't bankrupt by the time it comes out. I would consider one I think its kinda cool. I mean paint it green and you almost got a warthog.
Quite honestly, if it didn't look like total ASS I could be interested. I'd have to do a fuel cost comparison, but I'd be interested if they could extend the range at the lower price point.
The Rivian looks damn nice but I don't care that they call it a truck, it ain't no truck. The bed won't hold much more than an ice chest. The SUV has definite potential.

Especially those.... the front end on the 1500s are bad.... but those? add a chrome grill.... FUGLY. It's like Chevy ain't even trying anymore.

I don't foresee many farmers and ranchers lining up to buy one of those.
I also don't see RV'ers lining up either.
I think it more for the folks that want to buy a "truck" and then go looking for a shed or garage to store it in so it doesn't get damaged by hail.
Short answer is that as far as a "working" truck goes, it will probably fall flat.
