I stopped spending money on store bought feeders about 5 years ago. I use nothing but PVC gravity feeders. Granted you go through more corn but I get a lot more deer coming in to them then I ever did with a store bought tripod feeder

I'm with you 100%. I've bought every type of feeder out there. I agree that you will go through more corn, but the activity seems to be a lot heavier with the gravity pvc feeders.

Also, I hunt in the S.E. part of the state and black bears are a real problem. I got tired of bears tearing up my $100 + feeders.:soapbox: They just normally knock over these pvc feeders.

Don't have bears in my area(dang it!), but have been thinking of making a gravity feeder using a drum. I'll agree its going to take a lot more corn, but its something to try. I'll post pics as it comes along.
