I had a good buddy spend some time in Australia a couple summers ago. He was there for a wrestling tournament for his son. He talked with several Aussies and they all said there was they all said they regretted not fighting the ban harder. Several admitted to "knowing" people who buried their weapons in their back yard. I hope we never have to experience it.
What I wish the film mentioned was that the gun ban in Australia was a knee-jerk reaction to the 1996 mass shooting in Port Arthur, Tasmania. The anti-gun politicians and media in Australia were quick to exploit the moment (same as here).
I feel sorry for the gun collectors, also all the people who have lost their lives due to gun control.
Wow, "not a chance in hell of getting those rights back." Maybe a great caution, great advice and a great understatement all at the same time.
Wow. As we all know, gun bans only affect law abiding citizens.
