I love mine, yours is almost the same. One down side of owning this watch is, dbleak will start stalking you for it. Don't let your guard down, or you will be rubbing your head wondering what happened. Oh well, at least mine will be safe for awhile.lol

Thanks Adam. I've really been wanting an Elgin A-11 with a coin edge bezel (or a Bulova A-11 with a sterling silver case) and an Elgin A-17, but this Bulova A-17A will be a good place holder until then. I probably need to buy the Military Timepieces book by Whitney before investing in an A-11. Most of them are just Frankenwatches nowadays and I need to be a little more knowledgeable on details like correct dials and crowns. I researched that Elgin A-11 that was at the March guild meeting and it has a '41 or '42 dial and a '45 dated caseback.
