I am baffled on this one. my first thought was velvet stripping off a young spike, but there aren't any antlers. will it grow into a non typical or straighten out? any insight or comments appreciated.

I'd say testosterone problem/injury to his goobers. No antler development and still in velvet.

I'd say he will never shed them either. Most likely just keeping altering size/shape but still remain a weird and velvety blob.

I could be wrong, but that's what I think.

I would shoot it. It may not even be a male. It appears it would qualify as a non antlered deer by Oklahoma law. It is more than likely has a problem with testosterone/estrogen.

I'm not gonna shoot it, just on the off chance it develops into something gnarly. Not to mention it is REALLY YOUNG.
That mostly answers my question, it isn't something normal that I just haven't seen.

That deer is begging you to shoot it, put it out of its misery.

See it standing broadside, it is saying Looooooook at this back strap goodness, it is all but walking into your freezer for you, even keeping good time....

Take it out....
