There were a bunch of these disks in there. These are steel, but some were aluminum as well. They all have a lip like the two overturned.

My guess is they were practice? Or used as a buffer to protect what he was drilling? Or a guide of some sort?

You can replace the cutter by holding the spindle tight then taking a #30 bit or punch the fits in recess on side of cutter and pop it loose by unscrewing it the normal lefty Lucy. They are usually stuck in there pretty good so it takes some effort.

Cool thanks. I figured the countersink bit comes out somehow, but I couldn't figure it out.
