Why the rush on Monarch .223?

So I know the design is a bit different, but what about performance wise, boattail or non? I bought the softpoint and it worked great so I never had a need to use the boattail. I can't remember where, but I thought I read the softpoint being perfered.

They had some at the 240 store last night so I able to get a couple boxes for next time I hit the range. I remember when I first got into shooting I was able to stop by any store on the way to the range and get whatever I needed. Now days I have to buy it ahead of time.

Guess I'm gonna start buying something different, they bumped the price on the soft point to 11.99. I even checked online and it was the same. I was buying it for 6.99. Boattail is 7.99.
