Would you change the looks of this AR?

I saw your post in the Cerakote thread. I guess I need to get some advice and a quote on how to fix this mess.

I'm thinking that I would like to just change the camo back to black but I'm open to other ideas. I've seen some OD green ARs that I like the looks of.

Do you do cerakote removal?

I like anything that looks different. It’s called custom. People pay good money for custom guns. You gotta own it.

Yes it would. You can attempt Citrus strip on it to possibly preserve the anodizing. Not sure if it will remove it or not but it is a pretty decent removal procedure.

If you remove the anodize, you might wanna take it over to Precision Anodize and have them reanodize to black. He’d probably remove and prep too.

I just hate to rattle can a $200 handguard. Plus, the camo is too light in color for me anyway.

I'm good at getting paralysis from analysis.

I really need to shoot it first to make sure I want to keep it before doing very much to it.
