The judge's decision is the logical follow-on of a line of reasoning that says "gender confusion" is a medical (i.e. surgically or pharmacologically) treatable condition. If one instead says that it is a mental illness - the gentlemen would get counseling, learn coping skills, etc. But if you say "sure" it was just a mistake by nature then fixing it once "diagnosed" is a straight-forward decision. I think the deicison is a good example of strong logic based upon false premises but then I am not the judge - I am just a throwback neanderthal.
