The best part of AR's are how customizable they are.... you can actually build or find something that will work across a wide range of "wants" or scenario's. What do you want from a hunting rifle... distances you will ACTUALLY be shooting compared to what you might want to shoot... I always started by defining my needs. Then pick a caliber. From there you pick you platform and pick all the accessories whether functional reasons or not and just put it together/buy one.
I've finally built out my dream rifle, fully customized even down to the coatings and patterns. Finally reduced my ar inventory to just 2 ar rifles... one for hunting and one for long range target shooting. If you like to chat, let me know.
