This is the way. I used to use them on occasion when a patient would break a finger and the swelling starts cutting off circulation. I never had a problem getting a ring off using them. Don’t try to do it yourself though. Have someone else cut the ring off. Start slow turning the cutting wheel, then increase pressure on the handle a little as you go. Also, if you notice your ring starting to get tight in the future, bring it to a jeweler. They can stretch the ring to fit you.

I can see the bone or knuckle could also grow larger with age or arthritis.
No soap will get it past that.

I have never wore a ring in my life and never owned one either.
Married for decades but never got a ring or any jewelry for myself because that is for girls in my mind.

My mind is a bit warped though.

My 2nd and final marriage i was so broke i used a Band-Aid for the wifes wedding ring that way she could put a new one on everytime she went out in public and wanted people to know she was married, just use a pen to change the color when she wanted to.
