Beltronics rx 65 i believe is the model (BTW beltronics and Escort are the same company).

I have had mine for 4 years and its been a life saver. I don't speed often, but its still nice to know if there is a cop nearby. As others say, it does pick up emergency vehicles and construction too. That is a at night (especially on turner turnpike where there is night construction). Only downside is the lack of arrows, but in a side-by-side comparison with the V1, it holds its own.

Never owned a radar detector. Haven't gotten a ticket in 35 years since I decided to put on my big boy panties and act like an adult that obeys the traffic laws.

What's so funny about this is the majority of posters on the "Veterans at the Restaurant" thread thought the veterans were wrong for not abiding by the dress code. By golly it's a private business and they have a right to enforce their rules. But in this thread people are trying to find a way to purposefully break public laws that are for the benefit of all the motoring public. Crazy isn't it? Drive the speed limit and you'll never get a ticket.

iv had several different brands over the years but havent had one in 10+ years...IMO they can get ya no matter what you got...i keep it with in 10 on the highway and have been fine for years...

LOL, thats great advice, except I got popped for 4, yes 4 over, by a Christian County Sheriff near Springfield, Missouri. OHP got me at 8 over on the turnpike around Big Cabin. Guy in Missouri was a class act. OHP guy was real nice though. Had me (my wife) open my glove box up, knowing my gun was there, and told me to get my insurance out of the glove box while he ran my license. Never took my gun, never asked us to get out of the car, never gave it a second glance which I thought was amazing since it was sitting on top of the pile of papers that my insurance verification would have been in. Gave me a warning and sent me on my way.

Yup, you got me, I like to take off my big boy panties, put on some girlie ones, and run 4 over because of the adrenaline rush I get. Someone should probably lock me up and throw away the key because I am more of a danger on the roads than the mexican driving an untagged truck pulling a roofing trailer down 44 in rush hour at 45 miles an hour, or the teenage girl who almost hit me in the parking lot because she was cutting through spaces arguing with her bf on the phone while putting her makeup on, or the 90 year old who's reaction time is longer than that of the yellow and red lights he just ran.

I love how these threads always go this way... If you don't have anything to offer the OP I'm mostly sure nobody cares about how you feel about speeding.

I'm going to be in the minority on this, but I like Cobra products. They've always worked well when combined with some common sense driving practices. There isn't anything that will be fool proof but the range on the Cobra's that I've used is good and I like the display layout they use. The signal strength bars are my preference.
