Pulled over twice yesterday on the way back from Branson, figure if I have a sports car, I should have a detector. Looking at Valentine One, and some of the Escorts, what do you guys have or recommend?

I have both. The arrows are nice, but the biggest thing that made the decisions towards the valentine one was that they don't care where you got it from, well, as long as it isn't stolen. Escort on the other hand, if you don't have a receipt from an authorized dealer you're pretty much out of luck on repair.

you could get a Phazer 3, it is a radar jammer.
It is only illegal in 42 states, and oklahoma is one of them, but they did have a guarantee that if you ever get a speeding ticket and used a Phazer they would pay the ticket

I have many of them over the years. I am sold on the Beltronics. My wife and I both have Beltronics now. I don't really speed anymore, but when I was in the oil field I was allways on the road. It paid for its self many times over. The Beltronics have other uses too. We still use ours because they will let you know of road construction and if emergency vehicals are comming. They have great customer service too. My speaker went out and they said I could send it in, or if I thought I could change it, they would send it to me. Sent it in the mail and it took me about 2 minutes to change it. It was no charge either way. Plus If I want to trade mine in on a new one, they will buy it. My wife's just gets updated on the net when something new comes out.

The problem is that with instant-on radar or LIDAR or whatever, your radar detector is really a "you're buggered" detector.

If you get a pop (instant on) ticket then it'd be a rather easy fight, since the manufacturer readily admits that it isn't that accurate.

Laser yes you're pretty much marked, for the most part though, everything that I've run up against thus far has been constant Ka.
