On the topic of meth-heads. I have heard from several members of the State Board of Pharmacy and looked at a couple bills that have been submitted, and i think sudafed is going to become Prescription Only. I'm not sure what sort of time frame we're looking at, but you might want to "stock up" while you can.

Note....I am not questioning your right to make soap....just curious.....what do you like about your homemade soap versus good old Ivory? It's 99 44/100 % pure after all. Cost? Effectiveness? "Green"?
My grandma made it out of lard rendered from hogs she butchered and lye she leached out of ashes....but it was because she could not afford store bought soap.

all this means is that the black market value of sudafed goes way up. Since buying 'scrip drugs illegally is impossible you know...

I can get poison ivy by walking by it. Old country Dr. Told me many years ago to use lye soap after exposure to the ivy. I'm still using it. I'll find it at craft shows etc and stock up.
It may just be an old husbands tale, but it's worked fo me anyway.

Ivory soap is the soap i grew up with and love it, however I am becoming sensitive to perfumes and certain odors, I get caught in line at the store with somebody wearin stinky perfume or drier sheets I instantly get a headache and almost hurl, i made some soap just to see If I could do it and It turned out good and I gave it away to family members, well now they all want more, It cured skin problems on my bro-inlaws stump that he has been dealing with for 30 years, after using the homemade soap, the Ivory and even Kirks is too perfumie for me anyway everybody wants it so I gotta make some, No animal stuff all veggie oils, Its just cleaner soap..I'm quite a sceptic on alot of stuff, I use the homemade soap cuz i prefer it, and alot of the "homemade soaps have scents added, i don't do that.

Hmmm. This makes me wonder if it would assist in removing my psoriasis. I don't have the regular dry-skin stuff, I've got the good stuff that only stays away with sunlight exposure. There are, ahem, areas, though, that I don't plan on exposing to sunlight anytime soon. Plus it would be beneficial if it worked against poison ivy.

Would you mind sending me a recipe, or a link to your version? I know there are a lot of ways to do it, but I'd prefer to start with someone's that works well, especially if there's none of the animal side of it.
