Hi yall, I have been looking for a new gun safe. I want a major upgrade from the one I have now. I have been looking at Heritage and Ft. Knox. It must have a solid steel door, good fire protection and MUST be made is USA. Any input would be real helpful. Thanks guys!

Since you're already familiar with gun safes I won't go into specifics...fire rating, electronic combination,etc...

One thing I do suggest; look at a larger size than you have now. In the future, you'll obtain more guns, your wife will want to put her jewelry in there and you'll end up putting other stuff in there that either won't fit in a safety deposit box or you'll want quick access to it.

One or two sizes larger.

I can't say enough good things about liberty. I've got the fat boy 64 and besides needing another one it's the best investment I've made in some time. I bought my a couple of years ago at H & H in Okc during their safe sale and couldn't be more happy. I'm considering buying either another fat boy or a presidential real soon. Buy twice the size you thInk you need. Because they get full of important things besides guns real quick.
