Ok, so, going down a different trail, what do you all think of driving for Uber?

One of my son in laws buddy's does it and makes some great money doing it. He recently divorced, was going stir crazy sitting around missing his family, more so his son. So every other week when he does not have his son he drives for them!

New Years Eve he made close to a grand! I would say it would be better than delivering pizzas.

Your doig it right by stepping up and taking care of your own needs, proud of you! It may be a tough road ahead for awhile, but you can do it!

What
Uber only works if you're available to pick up drunks. This means:
1) you're willing to work with drunks
2) you keep the same hours they do, and
3) you live near lots of drunks and places they get drunk

Remember, this is OKC not NYC. Most people have cars.

Well, 1, and 3, I can deal with. Not sure about 2.

I wonder if you could offer to drive folks (not drunks lol) who can't drive themselves ... or run errands for them? I'm just tossing that out there because I couldn't drive a drunk across the street without getting a JBT involved. Too many years bartending, I guess ...

Btw, I was rough on you "in public" and so ... now ... here is my apology "in public" ... I think you will find you have made the right choice ...

Make sure to check your auto insurance if you plan to do Uber. Most don't cover when you drive your vehicle for a fee. Meaning you would need a diff type of policy. Could ruin your life if you have a wreck with people in your car.

Uber can be good, I have a buddy in Cali that makes about a grand every weekend supposedly. I think the market for it here isn't too strong, however there is money to be made. Watch for the hype and such though. I have found that there are a lot of people that have run into problems with them and their employer employee relations. Really impersonal and next to impossible to actually talk to someone. They really don't offer much details, esp when it comes to compensation. I was curious about the service a while back and did about half the sign up process, and now I get multiple text messages to finish my registration Every. Single. Day. And I have tried multiple avenues to get them to stop to no avail.

It's > Its. Grammar Nazi, engaged. Thank me later.

I didn't see UMB post, I've had him on ignore for a long time. What's funny is he's so desperate to "get me" he didn't even get the point, the dude was claiming it was Marine Core and not Marine Corp. The dude wrote Marine Corp, it was part of what made the post so funny.

If you can afford to pay a mortgage payment you don't need to drive for Uber.

Seriously. WTF are you doing/thinking? Still trying to yank our chain or just really distressed?

Are you currently employed?
