I'd you were to start reloading now what all would you recommend buying.

At this point looks like I will go Dillion 550. What all Assesories would you recommend to go with it? I will be doing 9mm and 223/556 specifically.

I've budgeted $3000 to get started and that includes hopefully a LOT of components. I have a decent amount of 9 and 556 brass but def need more

I started with an RCBS single stage and graduated to a Hornady LNL AP.
Probably run a thousand rounds a month of pistol ammo through it. Load rifle in spurts. Maybe 2500 rounds a year.
You can run one round at a time for speciality loads, or use it as a progressive. It literally takes 2 minutes to change from .40 to .223 once it's set up.
Customer service is impressive, the same as any other brand. Reloaders are a competitive market. Customer service is a big part of it.

With my 550 I got the strong mount, roller handle, bullet tray, bin for brass, bin for finished rounds, and the primer sensor that buzzes when I'm down to the last 3 primers.

Bought it through Brian Enos forum store. I went with the "As it should be" package with accessories that he lists on his site. No complaints with it. I load about 4K to 6K pistol rounds per year, not as high volume as some other folks, but a decent amount for me.

H&H has machines setup in their reloading area, so you could see how different brands work to make a comparison and ask questions.

I know you and you won't be happy with the 550. Follow your own advice and buy once cry once. Get the 650. also since you are living so close now you need to sign up for the reloading class at Canadian Valley. And like Foghorn said. Brian Enos Forum with the as it should be package.

If you plan on multiple calibers, or multiple loads per caliber, make sure you research the powder metering systems. If I were buying again, I'd get the Hornady LnL over the Dillon. The powder meter on the Hornady beats the daylights out of the Dillon for changing between loads. Also, check out the cost of multiple caliber setups.

Yup. I'd be more than happy to show how quick it is to change from a 9mm to .223 in 2 minutes with the Hornady. Also has one more position for a powder cop die than a Dillon.
