The info is coming right from the press release maps. Connecting I-40 and I-44. Luther at the north end and IVO Peebly at the south in order to "make travel from OKC to Tulsa faster". Just how many interchanges are they going to put in that 20 mile stretch huh? Obviously you're such a brilliant planner that ODOT consulted with you.

Been down I-40 east at rush hour? Traffic at the 40/240/Choctaw Rd area is bonkers....what are they "relieving" by adding potential north east bound traffic to that flow?

I'm sure it's part of some larger loop plan, but the way they are selling it makes no sense.

but you honestly think the power brokers and money folks had zero influence on the route? You think it was all left up to neutral transportation engineers? .

Its all conspiracy theory on my part, but you may have a leg to stand on considering some instances in the past of putting in power line rights of way from the Woodward wind farm to OKC distribution centers. It totally skirted the land owned by Grondyke, who is a Commisioner on the Wildlife Department, and owner of a huge trucking company that transports oil and gasoline.
Skirting that property added millions to the cost of the power line, and its the rate payers that pick up the tab.

Again I have no proof, but if one looks at a map of the power line, it should have cut right through his property, yet it followed the property line around it.

I remember when H. E. Bailey was built. The toll ($0.10) was to be collected only until the cost was recovered, then it would be a freeway.

Now toll is $1.50. Been 50 yrs and I supposed the original cost will be recovered soon, or maybe not.

I'm no planning engineer never claimed to be. And I never saw any of the media reports showing alignment that's why I asked you to tell me them

Congressman Darrell Issa has used his position in congress to steer millions of dollars in highway spending earmarks toward roads and highways that border properties owned by his company.
The value of the land soared and Issa is now one of the richest men in congress.

I have always heard that then Senator Bellmon obtained inside information about the route of the I-240 expansion and bought up land along the route, which he later sold for a profit.

I don't doubt this is motivated in the same way a bit.
