Yep lifetime license still a DEAL even at current price. I still can't believe they haven't done away with it. They are taking a whipping on annual license fees vs what piddly amount of interest they make on the pool. Their was serious talk when I was in college back in the early 2000's of doing away with it.

Yes Yes I realize you "pay" after you die or quit hunting cuz the way the system works. But when you look at the numbers on a year to year basis ODWC is losing money hand over fist as compared to selling every resident hunter tags every single year.

I will say MAYBE just maybe the lifetime license interest money might and I mean might save Oklahoma from the fate other states will face as the number of licensed hunters continues to fall. It certainly may provide money that many western states do not have because they never sold lifetime license and put it away properly. This is all assuming the number of licensed hunters continues to decline. Personally I don't see anyway it wont with baby boomers dying and the current generations overall lack of interest in hunting, but things can change!

HAHA! you just extolled every virtue about why it will never go away, and rightfully so.
