Get in and get a couple harvests out before it goes recreational. Speculation is the price will drop once it does. Good luck!

My wife's son lives in Northern Cali, snagged 3 very high grade quarters for a buck the last time we were there, 9 months ago. It is a cut throat bidness when it's legal all the way around.

I think its a tough business. The dispensary at 15th and Harvard was supposed to open Jan 1 - still hasn't.
Several have already closed around Tulsa.
Don't know if competition is fierce or if they can't get product or what.

You need indoor multi room setup to avoid cross-pollination. (most places that's what the plastic sheets are for)
good alarm and /or armed guard.
People already breaking in to them.

Here, but occasionally There.
just got off the phone with my ex boss whom retired from the oilfield a year ago. He has a deal in the works to open a large operation consisting of grow, processing, and dispensary all at the same location and wants to bring me in as an investor. He mentioned a few things that has me concerned though and that is he believes it will be federally legal before Trump leaves office. Also talked how we are on a fast track to becoming like Oregon (I need to spend some time researching that whole deal) due to the ease of getting a growers license.

Everyone thinks they are going to be an millionaire from this deal. Big money will generally win out. They will have all the pricing power. You will also have to think about enforcement. In Oregon, going by a friend that has a farm up there, they are losing out to those that are NOT compliant and their pricing is lower due to lower overhead. The enforcement is a joke, so those that play by the rules are getting hurt. Not saying it will be the same here, but be aware.

We lived in Oregon for 17 months. I can attest that enforcement would be a problem there as the state doesn't have a sales tax, thus law enforcement is very lacking. We had an incident at the retreat and reunion center where we were and called the sheriff's office. First, two deputies showed up (in two different cars) and went up the hill to check things out. I went back down the hill to find two more cars with another deputy and the undersheriff nearby. Undersheriff informed me that we had that shift's entire staff on the premises. 4 LEO's for the whole of Josephine County for the shift.

I think Oklahoma has a few more deputies than that per shift.

The processors and dispensaries are begging for product.
I don’t have my MM card nor do I plan on getting one. I am a big fan of capitalism though and have followed my coworkers journey pretty close. Mainly cause there has to be a way to make money on the back side of this!

My friend attended the growers convention at the fairgrounds last weekend. This is what everyone was telling him. The processors will take just about anything as they can extract at least a little THC or oils from almost all of the plant. They are short on product though.
They are selling it as fast as they can get it.
