Now 94%. Of course, it’s only an extremely small percentage of a huge group. However, the snap shot is pretty telling.

I’m not a member of the NRA right now because of him and the constant badgering for money. I might come back if they get rid of Wayne and get back to their roots. Then again, maybe not as I’m not into compromising or banning any guns or related items.

GOA could be very effective if the upset members of the NRA switched.

My vote is to have a complete financial audit of the NRA and make LaPierre answer to the members. That way there is no question as to why the action is taken. He needs to be held accountable in public and the action taken publicly. Too much has been done behind closed doors without members knowledge or input.

The thing is, even if Wayne has done absolutely NOTHING wrong, he has become a lightening rod. Donors are not donating, members are not renewing, supporters are not supporting and most are pointing the finger at him. His presence alone is hurting the NRA, and he needs to step down if he really cares about the organization.

Not saying there isn't more to it than that, just that in and of itself that's enough to require him to go.

I think a lot of folks are members of both, partly because the GOA is less willing to compromise.

I agree.

This what I believe too. LaPierre has become a distraction and is detracting form the effectiveness of the NRA, guilty or innocent, if he truly is concerned with the good of the NRA he should step down voluntarily.

All that being said, this is a terrible time for the NRA to be in flux.
