I hung in there Saturday til closing. Reached a high point in the gunshow experience when I saw a guy walking around with a bazooka over his shoulder. I found everything on my list including a very nice bayonet for the M1.
Went back Sunday and lots of folks packing up in the morning already. I cant say I was thrilled about paying a whole price for half a show. I did note that the Saturday crowd was lighter than I've ever seen. Saw a lot of buying going on though, so that's cool. Not as much ammo as usual and the prices are up a little. Bought some at a good price but not a ton. Only got hit twice with the scooters so that's a plus.
Saw a bull terrier getting pulled around in a Radio Flyer, not something you see every day. Pretty decent show on the whole, but I won't do sundays anymore.

Went with a buddy on Saturday for a few hours. We were in high speed cover some ground mode. We were pretty much only looking at Ruger #1's and CZ rifles. He bought two CZ 527's. One in .221 Fireball and the other in 6.5 Grendel. Then we hunted some brass down for the Fireball, 18 pieces for $3. Then he picked up a Vortex Diamondback 4-12 for the Fireball. Finally found some factory ammo for the Fireball. That was pretty tough hunt but got it done. Lady had 4 boxes of Nosler Varmegeddon. He also bought a few boxes of Hornady Black for the Grendel. Ohh yeah, we found a nib set of Lee dies for the Fireball too. We got both rifles shot yesterday and both are pretty nice. The CZ set triggers will spoil a guy but they can also be a booger until you train yourself to not even think about touching it until you're ready.

Matt, myself, and the grandson went Saturday. Didn't see anything I wanted. Did accomplish one goal. Matt and I were looking for a plain jane Ruger 10/22 for the grandkids. I couldn't believe how long it took to find one. Seemed like a little bit lighter crowd to me.

I got a placeholder Ruger No1 for a great price and had fun hunting out stuff. There were a few that were tempting but I was satisfied with a single purchase.
Kinda wish I had made an offer on that Browning B92 in .44 Mag though.

I don't know. Prices seemed high to me.

I saw, and walked by, many $900 Smith M-19s, $600 M-10s, and $1200 M-686s.
I think the lowest price M10 I saw was $450, and it had almost no finish and aftermarket grips.

There seemed to be more knife makers than in years past, and FAR more knife re-sellers.

There seemed to be fewer gun sellers, and more gun-related item sellers: targets, bags, scopes.

Sellers were packing up at noon on Sunday. That really hacks me. I'm paying for a day, and by 1pm probably 30% of the vendors were packed up, or were in the process of it.

On the plus side;
As I was waiting to get in the door, a stranger walked up and gave me a ticket to get in. Didn't know me from Adam, just walked up and handed it to me.
I sold that box of NOS .30-378 Weatherby Magnum brass I've had since Spring.
I found a decent 1903A3. Like I needed another rifle.

I know what you mean, we paid $30 for three of us on Sunday at 2, they told us at the gate it was until 5, vendors all said it was only 'till 4, and everyone was packing up at 3 and done at 4. So we paid $30 for a VERY sparse Sunday.

Sad thing is, that will make future Sunday crowds even WORSE, as people like me will NOT come back on Sunday. This will make vendors MORE likely to leave early in the future, too. It's a mess.

Had a good time on Saturday. Prices for everyday guns seemed a tad high. Found a peep sight for my 1895 Savage, almost bought a 99 in 308. But the stocks were cracked in way too many places for the price.

On another note I did hear a lot of venders complaining about the table prices and having to be out of the building within 15 minutes of closing and a few other things now required by the expo center. ???
