I know it’s a patched MC. I’ll try and find a pic of their cut

I'm just speaking of his background and experience in shooting competitions, training in world class environments where he is the instructor, and so on.
He doesn't need to know your knowledge. His team will take you to a level beyond what you think you know.
I have no team, no ninja skills. I am no longer anything of note in this area of operation

So, why do LE open carry? Is there a tactical advantage? Are there strategic advantages? Are there logistical advantages? Does it allow faster access to the weapon? Does it allow a cleaner, non-fouled draw? Does it contribute to command presence? Does it allow for an instant reholster when it's time to go hands-on RFN and you don't want to abandon it? Does it allow for better access when seated? Is it more comfortable than IWB, or anywhere else and therefore worn a greater percentage of time? Can larger caliber weapons with higher capacities be carried openly than concealed? Does all the previous also apply to ammo/magazines? Why didn't any of my heroes and historical figures conceal carry? Were they drag queens too? Have you noticed that nearly everyone drawing from concealed needs 2 hands to do so? Is there anything you'd rather be doing with that other hand? Why do they always look at the weapon when drawing concealed? Will open carriers draw while keeping eyes on the threat? What fraction of a second advantage does that convey? What fraction of a second are you willing to forego in order to feel smug about your concealed weapon? How many are victimized before accessing their concealed weapon vs. how many are victimized as a result of an open carried weapon?

Your reactionary revulsion to open carry is an effeminate, emotional, issue - stemming from a fear of guns.

I bet you carry a 1911 with fake pearl grips cocked and locked in a Fobus holster and look at your rig in the mirror on a regular basis. Wish we were half the man you are. Come to the next ENS and impress us all with your shooting ability. Fear of guns. [emoji12][emoji23]

Someone once told me “It isn’t really what you say, so much as how you say it”. I’ve been called on this one many times in my life. But then again.... DILLIGAF??

The world is full of wussy politically correct people mincing their words instead of saying what they really think. Only a few of us gifted souls remain.

Shamed to say it took me a few minutes to figure that one out. I have WAY, way too many acronyms stuck in my head...
There's an Aussie who put DILLIGAF to music a few years back. Finding the video is left as an exercise to the reader, as it is very NSFW.

ETA: his name is Kevin Bloody Wilson.

So, why do LE open carry? Several reasons.

Is there a tactical advantage? For them absolutely. Do you believe yourself to be a crimefighter?

Does it allow faster access to the weapon? Depends. One thing that makes all this rhetoric moot is the fact that LEOs typically carry a holster with some sort of retention, which can slow things down. I've seen some pretty fast draws from AIWB and some pretty slow draws from an open carry holster.

Does it allow a cleaner, non-fouled draw? Depends.

Does it contribute to command presence? For them yes, civilians.... not really.

Does it allow for an instant reholster when it's time to go hands-on RFN and you don't want to abandon it? No, it doesn't. Several videos of LE being attacked to prove it too.

Does it allow for better access when seated? Possibly.

Is it more comfortable than IWB, or anywhere else and therefore worn a greater percentage of time? Open carry should be more comfy, but that doesn't mean CC isn't.

Can larger caliber weapons with higher capacities be carried openly than concealed? Yes. But how much do you figure you need outside of a full size service caliber platform? If you are talking DE or Ruger Alaskan then more power to you.

Does all the previous also apply to ammo/magazines? Kind of? It's pretty easy to hide a knife, main carry, light, extra mag, and a BUG should you figure you need it.

Why didn't any of my heroes and historical figures conceal carry? Who are you speaking of?

Were they drag queens too? Like Too Wong Foo Drag Queens? You tell us.

Have you noticed that nearly everyone drawing from concealed needs 2 hands to do so? Yes.

Is there anything you'd rather be doing with that other hand? Depends on the situation.

Why do they always look at the weapon when drawing concealed? They don't.

Will open carriers draw while keeping eyes on the threat? Depends.

What fraction of a second advantage does that convey? Depends. Caliber boys love to argue this chit all the time.

What fraction of a second are you willing to forego in order to feel smug about your concealed weapon? What perceived fraction of a second are you willing to take to believe in some sense of falsehood that you will be parting the seas of bad guys as soon as your presence "commands" it.

How many are victimized before accessing their concealed weapon vs. how many are victimized as a result of an open carried weapon? Would love to know. Where's your reference?

The reality of all of this is that LE deals with significantly different situations on a daily basis than anyone here who is not an LEO. They are attacked more often and honestly deal with physical confrontations, instead sitting at home and engaging in the mental masturbation of counting .01 differences in possibility. Here's the fun part though.... if open carry worked as a deterrent.... there would be NO attacks on LEOs or even any sort of armed security.

Me personally? I'd MUCH rather them be surprised and not know who their first target should be.
