Given the stated rates of return previously speculated earlier in this thread, even a $10k/month electric bill doesn’t sound too bad. I’ve worked in the poultry industry for over 30 years, and a utility bill of that size is not uncommon to a chicken farmer that has exponentially smaller gross income. What most don’t realize is that probably 99% of all commercial poultry is grown indoors in a climatically controlled environment.
I know several chicken farmers who are waiting for pot to be legal, so they can tell the chicken company they contract with where to go and how to get there. It makes me wonder if any chicken growers in Oklahoma have converted their houses to pot?!?:anyone:

I think that’s Fire Ranch on Waterloo.
That's the one.

Well it looks like all the growers won't have the trouble of handling all that cash money any more.
Ever friendly internet company Facebook has announced it will start up a crypto currency called "Libra" in January.
It's supposed to have much less fluctuation in value than those other ones like Bitcoin, because Facebook's Libra will be tied to the U.S. dollar.
And I'm sure Facebook will keep it all confidential, they would never sell you down the river by handing over all your financial information to every Tom, Dick and Harry that waves a nickel in their face.

Growing indoors requires alot of electricity. A monthly electric bill of $10,000 wouldnt surprise me. Also humidity control is VERY important. Indoors keeps more bugs away so thats an advantage.
I did a small backyard grow this past summer. It was easy peasy, just water 1-2 times a day depending on the rainfall and heat/evaporation. No bugs at all. They just grow like weeds LOL
Ended up with a bit over 2 pounds. That will supply me for life. And it turned out VERY good.

That's true, the buildout for these facilities IS expensive, irrigation, LEDs all very pricey, but they get good yield.... and many are worried about contamination.

I watched a video the other day on one in Arizona. It was state of the art and probably the most technically advanced one in that state. They had a killer RO water system, added nutrients to it, lab tasted basically EVERYTHING including their soil. They ran state of the art air handling systems, dehumidifiers, freaking everything.

But their grow methodology was still basically old school. They just grow true organic, clean stuff. They also tested every one of their batches for all kinds of things. Sex of plants, impurities like heavy metals, you name it. They pressed their own oils and made hash too. That was all automated. Even had vape cartridges and designed their own packaging. No telling what their overhead was but their yields were stellar and they are probably banking multiple millions every quarter.

I watched some videos on a few pretty big operations here in Oklahoma. Kinda surprising how high tech some of them are already.

Its really not that hard to get big in this market.
Buy 300 bags of miracle grow soil, 20 pound bags, plant a seed in the actual bag and have a pvc irrigation set up and wait. Easy as crap if ya got sun or LEDs

I hafta say,,,
This is the strangest thread in a gun forum I have ever read.

It will be interesting to read about the first person the Feds go after,,,
Anyone who thinks the arguments on "not a user or addict" will protect them,,,
Better have a dang good lawyer, as in Perry Mason quality, to make those arguments for them in court.
