I'm already home. Surgery was a success, they were able to extract the peice of bulging disc. No more numbness, severe pain, or weakness in my left leg. Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

It's amazing what they can do today! Thirty years ago, that would put you on your back for weeks.

My oldest brother had back surgery in the '70s, and had to stay on his stomach for about 6 weeks.

Things have indeed changed.

I spent most of the day today tinkering with my boat lift. Had to make some minor adjustments for the boat. It was hot but being close to the water really helped.
