Old cough remedy my grandpa made. Get honey, lemon and a bottle of moonshine. Heat the honey and squeeze in the lemon juice. Now drink the bottle of shine and use the honey lemon concoction as a chaser if you need it. You have to drink the whole bottle for it to be effective. So if not a drinker I would start with a pint bottle.

Well after I posted that cry for help I took Grumpy's advice and took a Mucinex and made myself comfortable sitting up in his recliner. Best sleep I've gotten since I got sick. I'd still be asleep if the damned Dawg hadn't seen for to warn me the mailman came by and got on the porch ... Just like he does every damned dau.

God I hate it when he's right. (Grumpy -- not Dawg ... Lol) Thanks guys!! I'm gonna run outside and check on critters. That ought to set off another coughing spell. Gotta be done though. That's the deal -- anybody with critters knows them's the breaks.

Well I do gotta give it props. I'm pretty sure it kept me outta the hospital. I really should have started taking it a couple days before I did. So ... Not perfect but given what I've seen my stepdaughter go through I'll take it.

A neighbor who use to be on the forums is a doctor and owned or partnered in an ownership of a urgent care facility a few years ago. I went in with some extreme poison ivy, and was prescribed by a physician on duty, the prednisone. I got a call from my neighbor before I got home telling me to come back to the office and they were going to give me a shot of steroids and DO NOT TAKE the prednisone. I asked him later why he reversed the medication and he said that the drug makes people angry and emotional and he didn't like to prescribe it.
