Small hinges that you bolt on with stainless nuts and bolts.

That is they way I would fix it.

Now a really poor boy way would be to drill a 1/4" hole in the lid and the base and take bailing wire or steel electric fence wire
and cut about 5 or 6 long strands and clamp them in a vise or secure one end to a tree limb or nail on a post and take the other ends
and group them together and start twisting them.
Basically making twisted rope from bailing wire.

Run it through the holes you drilled to make a bailing wire Circle hinge ..kind of like a key ring.
Twist the 2 ends to secure it.

Been there done that.

Now if a plastic ice chest lid hinges break off you can make a dandy hinge from leather.
Screw the leather to the lid and to the base.

I have used worn out leather boots and belts to make ice chest hinges.
I’ve used old belts to make hinges on stuff I thought I could get just a little more use out of.

I don’t know what either a pack of JB Weld or you time is worth, but the little table top one above uses the 1 lb bottles and we tailgate with one that is very similar. Does a decent job and is easy to move.

Good luck with your project.

Yea I keep talking to the wife and told her if we lose power we can cook in the fireplace, as long as she does it. As far as grilling, I think for us something like this is the best buy.

George Foreman 15-Serving Indoor/Outdoor Electric Grill, Silver, GFO240S

There ‘ya go.

80 bucks. Not gonna be much use when the power goes off, but I bet you can cook a steak or burger on it when the lights are on.

Yes and it is one I can use without setting myself on fire. I just need to do enough table dances to afford it. :lmfao: :lmfao: :lmfao:

Take someone to the VIP room, and you’ll have it paid for in 1 song.
Yep, they will pay me to go away. Especially if they have to hold my oxygen tank while I shake my booty. Might also help if I learn how to dance. :P

I would venture that you can drill too holes through with both pieces in place, thread them, and use two appropriate machine screws along with the JB weld to hold it. Or cut the other side off flush, cut out a plate with new handle attached and bolt it over the area where the old handle was attached. My .02

Amazon sells hoses that adapt to a 20 lb propane bottle really cheap. Those 1lb bottles can get expensive.
