It’s not nearly as black and white as you paint the picture. The greenest country in the world has rejected consuming “cleaner” energy supplied by a narcissist that’s gone to war. There is no doubt that we all need a supply of energy and having some energy independence is a very good thing. Using less is also a very good thing, too. They are not mutually exclusive.
Do you think we are using less energy today, per capita, than the 1970’s? The US is much more energy efficient. We have embraced energy efficiency. Again, energy efficiency has nothing to do with the spiking energy prices. It’s all about the greenies artificially cutting the supply.

Not in Oklahoma!
You live in a Shoe Box?
Move over I'm moving in. (no bro loving)
Lol!

No shoebox! But some of you with real big houses might think it is!

No central air either.

Thankfully it has not been too hot that I need to put the window unit in!

Have slept a few nights in the basement though!

I feel pretty lucky. We have OG&E and we're on their Smart Hours plan. Electricity is .07 cents per Kwhr from 1900 to 1400. Between 1400 and 1900 the cost varies from .07 cents to .43 cents. Needless to say we damn near shut the house down between 2pm and 7pm.

Just paid the bill today for last month usage... It was $90 and change. The OG&E website is projecting our bill next month to be $130. No water, no sewer since we're on well and septic. We'll have propane to heat with and we have an electric furnace to supplement should we need it.

Of course, our house is only 1100 sq ft.

In previous years, after I had new windows installed, and replaced the aging hvac system my summer electric bills were in the $60 range.

Lowest winter time electric bill I can recall was $28

After you took over does the mouse have room in it's on house? 199kw, My well is on separate meter and it uses more than that with a couple yard lights. Glad you can keep it that cheap though.
