Good morning…

Last December, we sold our home and bought a new, somewhat smaller home in this neighborhood.

I have to admit that about every time I drive through these gates the inner jr high me has a little giggle…

Afternoon all,

Went into town this morning and there was a dusting of snow on the ground. Nothing here at the lake though but it has been cold.

Got the boat all filled up with gas and the additive mixed in. So the fuel system is set for the winter. The oil and lower unit change may just have to wait for spring. We will see.

Wife is at the casino so me and the dogs are Just chilling by the fireplace until she gets back. Then Dinner time!

Hope you all are having a great Friday.

We are crazy short-handed for work. I told them I'd cover an empty shift this evening but when I got there there were already 3 cashiers on ... 😁😁😁 I couldn't put my till back and get out of there fast enough!! 😂😂 One of the other gals said "Well, I shouldn't have even come in ..." I was like "Oh nope!! I have dibs on going home early!!" (This will make my only day off this week.)

Guess who's at home sitting in the recliner with a cat in her lap!! 😉😏😏😁

Ok so I've had my fill of plumbers and electricians and contractors telling me they can solve all my problems and then leaving me several thousand poorer and with a bigger mess than I started with ...
😡😡😡😡 I put in a couple of baseboards -- that wasn't too bad ... BUT ...

The electrician and a previous plumber and contractor have all left me with holes in a living room wall, in a kitchen backsplash (around a couple of outlets and a closet (around the breaker box). Any suggestions on where to go to get a decent education on putting in patches and bedding and taping the right way. I don't mind if the closet isn't perfect (probably where I will start so I can practice) but the living room wall will need to be textured and painted and the kitchen wall will need tile eventually.

Also, my baseboards are preprimed but I am gonna need to enamel them -- seems like that is what I remember my grandpa doing to the woodwork he installed. Any particular brand better than another -- and some YouTube videos on how to do that correctly would be nice. (Yes, I am ****ing pissed and on a mission now.)

Thanks guys!

Good evening everyone. My border collie, Molly, passed this morning, and I spent the morning getting her buried in the yard. She had a long and full life, but she went downhill fast. I’ll be doing a short write up on her life in the “Let’s see them doggies” thread either later tomorrow or Sunday. She had a very interesting life. She was a great dog, and I miss her greatly. My daughter and I have been planning a short getaway weekend this week, and we came down to Wichita Falls for some Dad/daughter time this evening. We both decided to still get away for the weekend after loosing Molly. We took Molly for a short walk in the woods yesterday evening because I knew her time was close to the end. This evening we had a nice dinner and then stocked up on some cookies from a bakery. We’re spending the night down here, and tomorrow we’re going to hit some thrift stores and antique stores. Hope everyone has a good weekend and stays warm.

Search YouTube. There are numerous videos on every thing imaginable for the DIY’er. I use YouTube to do all sorts of remodel projects.

I am so sorry. Nero's loss is still fresh on my heart -- and Dawg's too it seems ... He is awfully depressed these days -- so we know how you feel. Remember all the happy times you two had. Our pets leave us too soon ...
