I built a few of these displays out of rebar, and they work fairly well.
I think the bigger thing for me for this one is - I didn't do jack crap to display it.
I did a euro for my Dad about 10 years ago and bought him a display like that. Those aren’t cheap, and I kind of hate to spend the money for as many as I need to do.
Easy to make. Jigsaw and a little sandpaper. Stain it or just clear it and I can have one done in about an hour.

My wife just reminded me that Father in Law who is recently retired could probably use a project, and he’s a woodworker.
