Just the other day I went to a business and there was 1 space left and it was beside a guy that was close to the line.

Yea so I had to get close to my line also so he would not be blocked in.

I swear these spaces are getting narrower.

They sure as hell not made for 4 door 1957 land yachts!

Best enjoy stretching your legs out walking with that one. You will be parking in the outer areas.

It doesn't matter how perfect you try to park with no vehicles nearby, some clown will come along and park crooked so you're on pins and needles trying to get out.

Two things come to mind, yep people who do not care or know how to drive/park, and the people who describe how they want their parking lot striping is laid out. Not everyone drives a 8' long Ugo. There a lots of long SUV's and pickups that need a little room to swing out to get square in a parking space that is no longer available with narrow, only room for one way traffic isles. No room to swing out and square up in 6ft wide parking spaces many places for my Suburban, have to jockey back and forth a couple times to get inside the lines.

This is largely the reason that I tend to back into parking spaces. With one's steering wheels in that position, one can steer more sharply to get into the spaces. Then when one is leaving the parking space, one can easily see any traffic coming down the parking lot lane and can also get out easier by pulling forward in a straight line and then turn to get on out.

Sometimes when I see some ahole park angled in two spaces because his vehicle is better than anyone else's, I'll pull in and park with my driver's side real close to his passenger's side. It pisses my wife off but, she'll get over it.

Crew cab long bed square body… I feel ya. Converted it to a short bed to assist turning radius.

I’d advise you to use caution when doing this.

I used to know a guy that would park way out in parking lots with his fully restored 67 vette. He probably had $80k in it. Not across several spaces like you describe, but way way out at the end. He came out one day to find someone had parked up next to him so closely that it was obviously done on purpose, to be funny or to irritate him, with another car not within 50 yards and empty spaces everywhere. So he slashed all four of the guys tires.

I’d like to have a sign for the small gas burning vehicles that insist on getting gas from the few fuel islands that also have diesel.

My dad used to complain about that. I think about it every time I'm blocking both end diesel pumps so I can put gas in my truck, but I'm not real interested in trying to drag a 20' trailer between the islands.
