What's that nasty looking little hook for back behind the trigger?

That's an eye-gouge hook. It's what the Continental Marines used on their old flintlocks aboard ships of the line for when they went to whack somebody up side the head with a horizontal butt-stroke and on the backswing, they'd bring back an eyeball.

My new to me Delta 16" scroll saw. I joke about it being old just to mess with my almost son-n-law but I am very happy with it. Going to try making and selling a few holiday yard decorations. See if maybe I can earn a few bucks and not feel so useless.

If nothing else it will keep me out of the strip clubs. :w000t:

Brother-in-law used to do that holiday yard decoration thing. He made us a pair of snowmen cut out of plywood and painted. Those went away when we sold our house and moved into our RV. Those were pretty much our only Christmas decoration for years.

Wow, who ever thought of that was thinking ahead, and I like the way he thinks.

I didn't get any presents for Christmas (other than my Secret Santa knives) so I bought myself a present--a Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX7 mirrorless camera kit. It's a nice camera that will let me get back into photography.

The camera (the seller cleaned it up before shipping it:)

A photo I took with it yesterday:

Now, just another lens (or three) and I'll be set...

A 12-round mag for my Sig P365, gift cards to Academy which will turn in to ammo in the morning, a couple books, socks, a new rain suit, a set of wireless headphones for old guys with sub-par hearing so they can listen to the TV without having to have the volume up full blast, a neat swiveling work light, skivvy drawers, and assorted pogey bait.
you're gonna like those wireless headphones
