Six digit serial number number starts with 136xxx.
Still have mine , bought over 60 yrs ago , sold it twice . tracked it down twice , lots of memories , only says Sturm Ruger & CO , NOT INC,.....never sent the recall back , also have the Mag, cylinder (where's yours ?)....have Stag grips on it , also have the original grips.....LUV this pistol.....the little screw under the trigger gaurd kept wiggling out , taped with hammer & nail on middle thread , don't come out no more......
I didn't think that the early model's even had magnum cylinders.
Me either, I thought they started offering them with both cylinders around 1959, mine was made in 1960.
Well, guess that answers that. I did not know this.
