Ammo boxes in dishwasher?

I have a bunch of 44/45 plastic ammo boxes I have had boxed up for years and I want to clean them so that I can try to trade them for a size I need. I was thinking of running them through the dish washer ( wife will be gone tomorrow )

As anyone ever run them though the dishwasher? If so did they come out OK? I am a little worried the plastic will melt or something to screw them up.

I would pull them out before dry cycle

I know I am going to trade I just need to get all the red dust off these first. It really shows up on the dark green boxes but not so much on the red.


I am needing 38/357/9mm size boxes.

In case anyone is interested I will be trading 10 dark green lift off top boxes and 6 red flip top boxes.
