That is not true. Sure, there are bad inspectors, but most of them are pretty thorough. Most mold inspectors are extremely thorough, if it is there, they want to find and get paid to get rid of it, the real guys hate the black mold, they don't want to deal with it anymore than you want it in their house, so they do all the tests to make damn sure they know what it is. Mildew and common mold are easy to get rid of and don't require hazmat suits, the nasty stuff does. Don't let the fear mongers scare you away from a place you like, get it checked out and find out. You should not have to pay the inspection or clean up fees, it isn't your house yet. If there are signs of mold, most loans won't clear until it gets a clean bill of health anyway.
