Great thread, I enjoy all the warbirds! Check out this book about one of very own from Ponca City. "The Wrong Stuff : The Adventures and Misadventures of an 8th Air Force Aviator"
I haven't read it yet but my airport buddies recommend it.

Don't forget the Tulsa Regional Fly-In is Sept 16-17th and there is supposed to be some special Navy planes there this year along with the Ford Tri-Motor being there Sept 15-18th.
