I thought quite the opposite - when Obama was campaigning, Biden was the one who said he was skeet-shooter/hunter and "if the President wants to take my Beretta, we're going to have a problem".

Then John Stewart went on to point out that "a Beretta is a handgun". I lost a little respect for John Stewart for not acknowledging that mistake.

I kinda lose a little respect for anyone that admits they had any respect for John Stewart:bolt::D

Everytime I see him on TV I just wanna buy that man a few beers, sit back and let the good times roll.

He's definitely a little on the feisty side when it comes to getting into trouble with the things he says. He's a lot more fun than most Vice Presidents. He's a sweeper. He sweeps his hair around and tries to hide that huge bald spot. I bet he has some strands of hair that are 2 feet long. It's not working Joe.

It wasn't Joe Biden. it was some of his staff. They went to a meeting with gun control advocates and had a "thorough engagement." Sounds like a lot of nothing to me.

I hope this administration does take a run at some form of gun control. It won't pass muster in the House and it will mobilize lots of folks who sat on the fence when O'Bomba was first elected. I know lots of people who thought he was some kind of alternative to the ills that they "thought" this country faced. Maybe, this is another issue that will cement every rural state in this country against them.

I may be wrong. I thought it was him, but it may have been one of the many other anti-gun socialist he rounded up. I did find some of his votes.
Keep assault weapons ban; close gun show loophole. (Apr 2007)
Voted NO on prohibiting lawsuits against gun manufacturers. (Jul 2005)
Voted NO on banning lawsuits against gun manufacturers for gun violence. (Mar 2004)
Voted YES on background checks at gun shows. (May 1999)
Voted NO on more penalties for gun & drug violations. (May 1999)
Voted NO on loosening license & background checks at gun shows. (May 1999)
Voted NO on maintaining current law: guns sold without trigger locks. (Jul 1998)
Rated F by the NRA, indicating a pro-gun control voting record. (Dec 2003)

I can't understand why anyone that had payed attention to politics prior to the 2008 election would see biden or obama as friendly to the second amendment. Campaign speeches vs. voting records and prior commitments to anti second ammendment legislature. Were some people living under a rock before the last election?
