That wasn't an onside kick. Think about it. You're having to kick off from your own 10 yard line. There is still time on the clock for Bama to recover, score, kick their own onside kick, and win. Stoops would never do that.
What happened was, IMO, it was a squib kick down the center of the field (onside kicks are almost always kicked at an angle) to prevent a runback. The 'Bama player forgot to get out of the way, then didn't know what to do when it did accidently hit him. Our guy jumps on the ball.
But it was a fantastic win!! I just wish they could have showed the same fire during the 3rd and 4th quarters, offensively, that they did in the first half.
