On my SBR'd UZI I got it engraved on the frame under the collapsible stock...

I'm not sure why people try to 'interpret' the ATF rules.

Just be safe and get the thing engraved on the frame and move on.

Can an ATF FORM 1 be filled out by hand (ink pen, print) or does it HAVE to be typed??

If you look at the instructions that come with the ATF Form 1 it states the following:

    j. Submission. All requested information must be entered in blue or black ink and must be legible.

To me, that means that yes you can fill it out by hand as long as your writing is legible.

    You the man!
Ill be sure to do duplicates as well.
Wait, one more thing. Should I add the sbr to the trust before I send it in or wait till I reçeive the stamp? ( already have items on trust schedule a) if that makes a difference.

Can't help you with the trust question as I know nothing about them. I have always gone the individual route.

If a trust was going to make an item into something else the trust would probably need to own it first.

You do not have to fill out a new assignment sheet to send in. I send my original every time and make a new one just for my current assignments to make them legal.
