If it isn't expressly prohibited in any of your hiring documents, HR manual, supervisor briefings, or posted on company property etc...then don't ask don't tell.

I agree with aestus too. Do make sure that you never engage in a conversation about firearms. If you enter a firearms conversation and the folks you work with or work for don't know anything about you their curiosities will enable them to ask you the question "nDiekman, do you carry a handgun?" Now you're deep into the conversation...and stuck. Unless you've got a great poker face they will know the truth even if you tell them no.

Even if you get buddy buddy with a coworker don't spill the beans. Even if they are expected to keep a secret you can expect them to tell at least one person your business.
