It could be his POS system. Even on a cash sale our POS requires at minimum a name.
My feeling is we do not live in Russia, Kommiefornia or the Northern Republic of Illinois and if they want to have it that way they can by all means move to one of those places.
Yep. My favorite is when people at Wal-Mart ask to see a receipt. I just say no thanks and keep on walking. They don't do it much anymore, I think Wal-Mart figured it was a waste of manpower.

You have to be careful with this one. Some states recognize what is known as the "shopkeeper's privilege," the right to demand proof of purchase (Oklahoma, near as I can tell, isn't one of them); moreover, private clubs (such as Sam's club) often make it a part of the membership agreement. As stated above, you absolutely can contract away your rights.
