I can give you some insight to a few other options that you may or may not have already considered. I would stay away from the regionals unless your ultimate goal is to fly airlines. If that's the case then you're on the right track. If you have ever considered something other than the airlines that includes a quality of life don't take that plunge. If you want to fly I would say take the out of state job. But make sure the operation is stable, a lot of these regionals are starting to get on shaky financial ground because of the majors merging.
If its not PSA or Compass at this point in the industry I would stay put.
I've been in the same job for close to 35 years so I'm no expert on job swapping. I'd stay with the job you have.
