Dumb question time

Do all pistols need a booster ? Or is it just particular cans that need boosters or is it specific pistols ?
We all get one dumb question a year and this was mine !!

Any pistol with a fixed barrel straight blowback design would not need one. If the barrel moves with the slide until it unlocks to start the ejection sequence you will.

Yes left handed threaded barrels are a PITA. At least with my suppressor. The booster screws into the can with the normal right hand twist, then it goes on the barrel with left twist. When you go to tighten the can on the barrel the booster will come loose so you give it a right twist to reseat it and then it comes loose from the barrel. Very frustrating.
