My wrists can't handle it in smaller frames anymore. But on a full sized 1911 it's not too much more than a 9 in a small frame. Except for that P365 from Sig. That's like shooting a bb gun.

My 19 year old daughter has always been on the small side. She only weighs a buck 15 now. Since she was about 12 years old, she preferred shooting my 1911’s in 45 over my wife’s 380 or any 9mm.

When I had a 1911 it was the next step up from .22 for new shooters. They shoot very soft and are very intuitive imo.
