All Right Brother........got a drink in my hand( George Dickel#12 & &-Up), I'm over the flu, and here are my suggestions.

If I understand correctly, you're free during the day while your wife is in conferences.

1st. You might want to print out a map of the Strip and Downtown to familiarize yourself with the casinos and what directions to go/

Paris casino:

Go up the Eiffel Tower and see the sights...especially at night with your wife. The restaurant in the tower is okay at best..........but if you decide to eat in there book a table by the window......or have drinks there. The Bellagio fountains are great to watch from the tower.

Nice Spa, Napoleon's Lounge is nice to relax and have a drink.

Next to your casino...........Bally's and Planet Hollywood. Unless you want to window shop skip these.

Monte Carlo is okay....I'd skip it. NYNY......walk outside on the Boardwalk and look at the NY buildings and the Statue of Liberty. The inside is like NYC and they've got some good restaurants but that's it.

Skip Excaliber..........kidville. Skip the Tropicana.

Go to the Luxor and see how large it is inside, have a beer and a snack at Public House.

Mandalay Bay........Go to the Shark Reef Tour and if they still offer behind the scene....take that tour. Go visit Red Square and have a shot of Vodka. Go visit Border Grill, eat some tamales and drink a beer while sitting outside close by the enormous beach/pool and enjoy the lovely ladies!!

Bellagio.........watch the fountains. Go to their website for hours when they start the fountains and what songs.. Go inside Bellagio and just walk around, visit the arboretum.

Famingo.........go to the backside and walk the gardens, creeks full of Koi, and see a few of the birds they have there. Go to the wedding area and read the plaque about how gangster Bugsy Seigel started the place.

Caesars.....Lots of cool shopping. Caesars Forum Shops...... Two I like to visit, Casa Fuente......Fuente Cigars and a good cocktail. Tourneau watch store!!!!

Mirage..........volcano outside the casino

Treasure Island.........skip..........they have/had a pirate show but a few years ago they changed it. Then it runs when they decide to????? A couple of weeks ago I drove by it and they were working on it.

Venetian..........really a cool place. Ride a gondola.....outside then it goes inside the casino/shops. Walk the shops and see the stores.

Wynn........visit the Ferrari shop. Have a drink by the Wynn Lake.

Skip Circus Circus for now******

Stratosphere...........go up during the day and see all of Vegas waaay up top. Awesome to see at night also. If your brave, ride a few rides on top of the Strat.

***Remember to do some if not all of these things with your wife also when she's out of conference.***

Golf is AWESOME in Vegas. If you play, look up casinos on the web and see what courses they offer. Check to see what course Paris offers.

**Gotta go ..dinner time wife is calling** Will answer more after dinner.

Part II

Gambling.........on the Strip I like Casino Royale. They have a ton of $1.00 beer, 100x odds on craps , slots and blackjack. They're not as expensive to play there as other casinos are.

Downtown is where we play.....we've grown tired of the Strip and like to better our chances.

Downtown............Freemont Experience, Zip lines, and several stages of concerts. Gambling.........El Cortez is our casino, love the single deck blackjack....it has been GOOD to us.

*****Stay completely away from Gold and Silver Pawn.......Pawn Stars**** It has become the biggest tourist trap in Vegas.

I know I didn't mention anything off the Strip, and I didn't mention anything related to restaurants. Restaurants in Vegas.........how much do you want to spend.

The two places we always eat at are Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Harrah's. GREAT FOOD, awesome seating next to the window, fantastic service.

Circus Circus...........yes I detest that place and hate to go in that kidville, crazy train of a casino.........buy there is an awesome and quaint steakhouse there.....The Steakhouse.

Your first time..........just soak it in. Take your time, relax, and enjoy.........remember what you liked about certain casinos to go there the next time and skip the others......they all start to look the same.

Your casino(Paris) and any casinos you gamble at, get a players card. When they have you in the system they'll start sending and emailing you offers on rooms at their casinos.........weekend trips with free to discounted rooms are great. Pack a few bags, catch a flight, and enjoy.

I didn't want to over whelm you with a ton of stuff.........especially your first time. Look at that website I sent you on Vegas to get extra ideas.

Little side note.......as a souvenir.....my wife and I have collected $1.00 chips from all the casinos we have visited and over the years we have a neat collection of casinos that have closed to casinos that have changed their chips over time.

If you have any specific questions........just "PM" me. Have a great time!!!

Not that you would, don't let them fool you and tempt you............prostitution is illegal in Clark County.

Stratosphere for sure, just grab your b%$%s and go for it. You can see everything from up there. Stroll thru the Bellagio. Really just way too much stuff to do and see there to tell someone else what to do because every ones tastes are so different, its like stimulation overload when youre there. I lived out in Henderson/Green Valley and while we stayed away from downtown in favor of the clubs on the strip back then now when I take my wife when Im not going with buddies she likes to go downtown, they like the strip, go figure. To each their own. My dad dumped us off at CircusCircus and then he would go get lost somewhere drinking and playing cards when I was a kid and we had to hoof it back up to the Stardust to our rooms (its where he liked to stay back in the 70s), I hate CircusCircus now.

Best advice I've got for a vegas trip.................. Is don't go. It's really a chitty place to go IMHO it's hot it stinks and the atmosphere truly sucks. I've gone lots of times and it's no longer in my map. The "old downtown" part is okay. Some people either love it or hate it. I'm of the latter camp. Some of the sights are okay. If you rent a car take the drive to the hoover damn and go see the Grand Canyon. If I want a fun trip to go gamble and see sights any more I go to reno or Lake Tahoe. More my style. Not a desert/hot weather guy myself. Have a great time and make a budget and stick to it.

We've been going since the early '80s. First time was the air traffic control strike,so we drove. So much to see and do, hard to tell someone best places. I don't like Circus Circus anymore either, but it is different.

Hoover Dam tour is something we always remember, been twice. Old downtown is easy to go from one casino to another. Light show is cool. Last time we went I couldn't believe the beggars there.

Have fun and watch your budget.
