Who knows just say what ya feel
yeah actually it's funny because if you used the (non smoothed) brain you can see in my post how i address the issue arises from the helmets and pads. It's almost like you should mind your own business, and let adults make decisions for themselves and their family. Tell us Karen, Is Rugby and Hockey off the table or nah? How about motorsports? Skateboarding? Anything involving a Bicycle? I could go on......
I’m sorry but I failed to see where your opinion qualifies as anything more than your opinion. Clearly you never played the game past Highschool (maybe), if ever. Thanks to some of the rules that have been implemented even since ‘my time’ and a lot of it when I was playing have continued to evolve in a way that not only discourages hits to the head, but penalizes someone for them. Also the technology has evolved a whole lot thanks to studies in the early 2000s to make the game a lot safer. Now, respectfully, please hop off your soap box.yeah actually it's funny because if you used the (non smoothed) brain you can see in my post how i address the issue arises from the helmets and pads.
hockey, you do see cte, though not as often as football because again, there isn't nearly as much *normal* head to head contact which generates the kind of brain trauma.
so actually rugby is far safer, because yeah, if you get domed you'll usually get cut and come out of the game. you do not see measured 100+ g's to the head in that sport *as often* not that it cannot occur.
motorsports has risks, but those involve crashes or straight up accidents. not a guarantee from playing the sport itself, another swing and miss.
bicycle is the same fallacy, of course accidents occur but you are equating something in football that isn't an accident; it occurs on every play, in every practice, unless you are playing flag.
and in all these sports, you will address these risks as accidental, not a guarantee. i know people don't like hearing you have brain damage, but holy crap.
yes, i know that cheerleading is the highest rated sport by injury, including severe. yes, i know rowing *kills* more people than football because of drownings. feel free to bring any other lame argument, but try to bring a fact about football not being dangerous for kids if want to eat at the big table.
No need to take it personally. It all comes down to money.Oh yea there are some people that are big mad alright, I've been an OU fan my entire life but good lord some people take this stuff way too personal

Lincoln Riley looked around at the situation, called his stock broker and said "SELL!" when he figured the price was at its peak.
Yep that was it. they are trying to make it better only so much you can do without ruining the game.I honestly believe kids get less concussions now than 30-40y ago when I played, even though more kids are diagnosed with a concussion now simply because of concussion protocol which is needed. Not sure what your protocols were, but ours were pretty much non existent. If you were a starter, could stand up with your eyes open and you thought you could play when asked, you were back out on the field. Looking back I know I had 2 for sure and possibility 4 before the 10th grade. Crown of the helmet hits either recieved or delivered every time for me. That's just how we hit though, blindside hits and blocks.
