My in-laws used to live near there, if you're in to folk music you'll find a lot of neat stuff. Boone, NC is a neat little town to visit, and the Daniel Boone Inn is quite the restaurant. No menu, they just start bringing food to your table until you can't eat anymore. Good food too!
