How long have you been married?

Reading a comment in another thread got me to wondering as I have a wedding anniversary coming up in several days. I know alot of us are up in age years wise, but still kids at heart. I expect some high numbers so I will start out. This month will make 37 yrs for the wife and I, 4 kids and 9 grandkids.

My wife found me staring out the window one night and there were tears in my eyes. She asked what was wrong. I asked if she remembered her dad catching us fooling around and said if I didn't marry you, I'd spend the next 25 years in jail. She kind of chuckled and said yes. I turned to her and said "I would have gotten out today".

Julie and I were married 30 yrs, she died in 2013. My daughters look just like her, some days I cry a little looking at the girls.

December 25 coming up, it will be 53 years.

What is funny is that someone in the wife's family thought that we would never stay together very long.
