Cow hay. 4'x5' round bale. It's got some weeds, so not suitable for horses.
My guy hasn’t given me a price yet, but last year I paid $45 for about the same kind of hay you described.
45 for a 1500 lbs 5x6 round bale or 60 dollars per ton.

I saw prairie grass and soybean rounds for $85 on Facebook marketplace
During the drought? Around here it was going ~$90/bale.
this is a bale that has prairie grass and soybean in the same bale?
what was the test and weight of the bales?
It’s been $90+/- around here for two years, but my neighbor is in the hay business and gives me a deal. The field is less than two miles from my house, and it’s not the best quality hay. My cows haven’t complained yet.

It'll either make a turd or push one out. The 25 years I had cows that's the only kind of hay they had. I don't know what hay sells for anymore.
